This notice covers screeneyecare.com and the current version of Screen Eye Care, maintained by zero-ljz.
Local preferences
No account is required. Preferences such as color temperature, brightness, break schedules, language, and theme are saved in a local settings file. Gamma recovery information is also saved locally to restore display settings. The current app does not integrate advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
Activity and break timing
Smart timing reads the elapsed time since the last input, session lock, sleep, and full-screen window state locally to pause or defer reminders. This feature does not record what you type or upload these activity states to the developer.
Location and city search
The app requests system location permission only when you choose Windows location. Searching for a city sends the entered city name and interface language to Open-Meteo's geocoding service, which also receives connection information such as your IP address. Selected coordinates are saved locally to calculate sunrise and sunset. You may instead enter coordinates manually or use fixed-time schedules. Third-party location services are governed by their own privacy policies.
This website
This website stores your language and appearance preferences in your browser's local storage. The current website does not include analytics or advertising trackers. Hosting and network providers may process request IP addresses, browser information, and access logs to deliver and secure the service. Clear this site's browser data to remove these preferences.
Downloads and external links
Microsoft provides app download, installation, and update services through Microsoft Store under its privacy policy. When you follow a link to another service, that provider's rules govern its handling of information.
